eSIM for Tunisia: resorts, Djerba and the Sahara
A Tunisia eSIM covers the country with data only; the Middle East & North Africa eSIM adds Morocco and Egypt for a longer trip. Resort Wi-Fi is fine in your room and patchy at the beach. On desert trips south, signal thins out, so download maps before you go.

Beach resorts
Most beach holidays are in resort towns on the coast and on Djerba. Hotel Wi-Fi usually works in rooms and lobbies but is weaker by the pool and the sea. Your own data covers transfers, excursions, finding each other in a big hotel and the odd video call home. Arrival notes: Djerba and Tunis.
Tunis and the old towns
In the medina of Tunis, narrow lanes make GPS wander. Pin your hotel, download an offline map and navigate by gates and squares.
Into the Sahara
Trips south to the desert oases are popular excursions. Signal is usually available in the towns and can disappear on tracks and at remote camps. Download offline maps for the route, carry a power bank, and agree a meeting time with your group.

Questions
Which eSIM is best for Tunisia?
For Tunisia alone, the Tunisia plan. If you combine Tunisia with Morocco or Egypt, the Middle East & North Africa eSIM covers all three at the time of writing.
Is resort Wi-Fi enough in Djerba or Hammamet?
For evenings in your room, often. It is usually weaker at the beach and does nothing on excursions, so a small plan covers the gaps.
Does my eSIM work in the Sahara?
In the oasis towns, usually. On desert tracks and at remote camps signal can be weak or absent. Download offline maps before you leave.
Does a Tunisia eSIM give me a local number?
No. Our Tunisia plans are data-only. Your home number stays on the phone for SMS codes, and messaging apps work over the data.
How much data do I need for a week in Tunisia?
About 1.6 GB for maps and messaging, about 4 GB with photos and social apps, and about 10.5 GB if you stream. These include 15% headroom.
